KTM Will Show Off-Road News at EICMA on Nov. 3; Models Still Secret

KTM will hold a press conference at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan on Tuesday, November 3, at 10:45 a.m. Central European Time. In a September 28 release, the Austrian maker said the show will give a first look at where its lineup is headed, with a particular focus on off-road.

That's about as specific as KTM gets. It says exactly which new models it will show stays under wraps until the reveal.

Key points:

  • When: November 3, 10:45 a.m. in Milan, which is 4:45 a.m. Eastern and 1:45 a.m. Pacific.
  • Where: Hall 22, stand E08, at the Fiera Milano Rho grounds. EICMA runs November 3 to 8.
  • What: new off-road developments, plus a preview of future products and technology.
  • Not announced: model names, specs, prices or U.S. arrival dates.

Converting the start time

Europe ends daylight saving time on October 25 and the U.S. follows on November 1. By November 3 both sides are on standard time, so the gap is six hours to the East Coast.

KTM's release invites international media. It doesn't say whether the press conference will be streamed, and it says more details on the schedule, venue and accreditation will follow in the coming weeks. For most U.S. riders, the news will be waiting when you wake up.

What "off-road focus" does and doesn't tell you

KTM describes the stand as a look ahead at its next generation of performance, innovation and motorcycle development. The key line is that the main themes are new developments in the off-road segment and innovative solutions for the next generation of KTM motorcycles.

That leaves a lot open. "Off-road" at KTM covers motocross, enduro, rally and electric dirt bikes, and the release doesn't narrow it down.

It could mean a new model family, an update to existing bikes, a technology preview, or a concept. Until November 3, anything more specific you read is a guess.

KTM's German-language headline calls this a "comeback" at EICMA, and the release's image is titled "Back on the grid: KTM at EICMA26." The release doesn't explain the comeback.

It lands after a difficult stretch for the company: KTM publicly acknowledged a restructuring phase in December 2024 while promising that dealer deliveries, parts and warranties would continue.

The 2027 KTMs already shown

Several 2027 KTMs are already public, so they aren't the unannounced news. MIR has covered three of them:

  1. 2027 790 Duke: new brakes, suspension and ergonomics, shown by KTM in September.
  2. 2027 690 Rally: a rally tower and roughly 20 liters of fuel, launched in September.
  3. 2027 SX-E 2.12: a larger electric dirt bike for taller young riders, detailed on October 6.

None of those are confirmed for the EICMA stand, and KTM hasn't said whether November 3 brings 2027 models, later model years, or concepts.

If you're shopping for an off-road KTM

A dated reveal matters if you're about to buy a dirt bike.

  1. Ask before you sign. If November 3 brings news on the type of bike you want, a dealer may know more by mid-November.
  2. Weigh a current deal against waiting. A preview isn't a dealer arrival date. A new model shown in Milan can take months to reach U.S. showrooms, and KTM hasn't given any U.S. timing.
  3. Quote the exact bike. Whether the bike will be plated for the street or kept for the trail, get any insurance quote on the actual model and year you're buying.

What we still don't know

  • Which models or technologies KTM will show.
  • Whether anything shown is a production bike or a concept.
  • U.S. prices and arrival dates for anything revealed.
  • Whether the press conference streams publicly.
