Yamaha's long-range Ténéré is on sale in the U.S. The 2026 Ténéré 700 World Raid pairs the 689cc CP2 twin with twin aluminum fuel tanks holding 6.1 gallons, a six-axis IMU for lean-sensitive rider aids, longer-travel KYB suspension and a 6.3-inch vertical TFT. Yamaha's U.S. site lists it at $12,999 MSRP plus a $675 destination charge.
The short version

Range is the point
The World Raid's defining feature is fuel capacity. Two aluminum tanks, one on each side, hold 6.1 gallons combined.
Yamaha doesn't promise a mileage figure, and real range depends on speed, load, terrain and wind. But on remote routes where gas stations are a long way apart, more fuel is the difference between planning around stops and not worrying about them. Splitting the fuel into side tanks can also keep the weight lower than one tall tank would.
Electronics that know you're leaned over
A six-axis IMU measures the bike's lean and pitch. Yamaha uses it for:
- Lean-sensitive traction control
- Slide control, which manages rear-wheel slides
- Brake control and ABS that adjust when the bike is leaned over
ABS has three settings: On, Rear Off (so you can lock the rear on dirt while keeping front ABS) and Off. Rear Off is the setting many experienced off-road riders prefer on loose surfaces.
Yamaha's feature list also includes cruise control, usable in third gear or higher, and a separate speed limiter. The bike is wired for a quickshifter, but the quickshifter itself is an accessory.
Suspension and cockpit
The World Raid's 46 mm KYB fork has 9.1 inches of travel, and the linkage-mounted KYB piggyback shock has 8.7 inches. A 16-position adjustable steering damper helps calm the bars on fast, rough ground.
The 6.3-inch vertical TFT offers three display themes, and Y-Connect links your phone for calls, music and navigation through Yamaha's free app.
Not the standard Ténéré 700
The World Raid is a distinct model. Its fuel capacity, suspension and electronics differ from the standard Ténéré 700, so don't apply the regular bike's specs, or any recall that covers other Ténéré versions, to the World Raid without checking the VIN-specific details.
Before you buy
- Price it out-the-door. $12,999 plus $675 destination, then tax, registration and fees.
- Sit on one. Long-travel adventure bikes sit tall. Yamaha's main page doesn't highlight seat height, so check the spec sheet and try it in person.
- Insure the extras. Adventure riders tend to add luggage, crash bars and lights. Ask your insurer how much accessory coverage your policy includes.
What we don't know
- Real-world range on 6.1 gallons
- Dealer stock in your area
- Independent testing of the U.S. model
Bottom line
The 2026 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid adds 6.1 gallons of fuel in twin tanks, a six-axis IMU with lean-sensitive aids and three ABS modes, longer-travel KYB suspension and a 6.3-inch TFT to the CP2 adventure platform. Yamaha lists it at $12,999 plus $675 destination.
