Zero Motorcycles is marking its 20th anniversary with a very small run of its SR/F electric naked bike. Zero said on September 29, 2026 that it will build just 40 of the 20th Anniversary Limited Edition SR/F, with 20 going to North America and 20 to select European dealers.

It's a trim and parts package rather than a new bike. The motor, battery and electronics are the standard SR/F's. Here's what you get and how to find one.

The short version

  • How many: 40 worldwide, 20 of them for North America.
  • Where: sold only through participating Zero dealers while supplies last.
  • What's different: a jet black and gold finish, carbon fenders, billet aluminum controls and caps, and 20th Anniversary graphics.
  • What's the same: the SR/F's 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque and 83 kW peak power, Zero's Cypher III operating system and Bosch MSC stability control, per Zero.
  • Price: Zero hasn't clearly published a U.S. price for this edition, so ask a dealer.

What the anniversary package adds

Zero lists these changes over a standard SR/F:

Finish and bodywork

  • Jet black and gold treatment.
  • Carbon fiber front and rear fenders.
  • Black headlight wings and a black aluminum flyscreen.
  • Smoked turn signals.
  • 20th Anniversary graphics.

Billet and blacked-out parts

  • Billet mirrors, bar ends, brake lever, lever protector and front and rear reservoir caps.
  • Black brake pedal, dust covers and grab rails.
  • Swingarm bobbins.
  • TechSpec protectors.

These are cosmetic and accessory parts. Zero doesn't describe any change to the motor, battery, range or charging for this edition.

What stays the same

Under the special finish, it's an SR/F. Zero quotes 190 Nm (about 140 lb-ft) of torque and 83 kW (about 111 hp) of peak power, with the Cypher III operating system and Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control.

How to get one

Zero says the edition is sold only through participating dealers while supplies last. With 20 bikes for all of North America, many dealers won't get one. If you want one:

  1. Call your nearest Zero dealer and ask whether it's getting an allocation.
  2. Get the price in writing, including freight and fees, before you put down a deposit.
  3. Ask what's included. Zero's model page and announcement don't list exactly the same parts, so confirm the final equipment list.

About the price

Zero's SR/F model page has a limited-edition color option, but we couldn't confirm from Zero's own pages whether the price shown there is for this anniversary edition or the standard SR/F. Rather than guess, we're leaving price out. A participating dealer can tell you.

Insurance on a limited-run bike

Insuring a bike that only 20 North American riders will own takes a little extra care:

  • Tell your insurer it's a limited edition and give them the exact model name and VIN.
  • Ask how a total loss would be valued. Standard policies usually pay actual cash value, which may not reflect what you paid for a special edition. Ask whether agreed-value coverage is available.
  • List the special parts. Carbon fenders and billet parts can be costly to replace after a tip-over.

What we don't know yet

  • The U.S. price of the anniversary edition.
  • Which dealers are getting the 20 North American bikes.
  • Final equipment list where Zero's pages differ.

Bottom line

The Zero SR/F 20th Anniversary Limited Edition is a 40-bike, black-and-gold dress-up of the standard SR/F, with 20 for North America and the same 190 Nm motor underneath. If you want one, call a Zero dealer soon, confirm price and parts in writing, and talk to your insurer about how a limited edition would be valued.
