Cars have had blind-spot warnings for years. Indimate, a maker of motorcycle safety lights, sells an aftermarket version for bikes: the Blind Spot Radar (BSR), a rear-facing radar that lights a warning when a vehicle is in your blind spot.
It isn't brand-new. Indimate's public product listing dates to December 29, 2025. Whether this bolt-on blind-spot system fits your bike comes down to three simple requirements.
The short version
- What it does: a rear radar watches your blind spots and triggers visual warning lights, with optional audio alerts through your helmet intercom.
- Fits bikes with: a 12V battery, working turn signals and a suitable place to mount the radar.
- App: not required. The app adds sound options and speed thresholds.
- Install: 30–45 minutes, per Indimate: power to the battery, turn-signal wires, then mount the radar and lights.
- Price: listed at €349 on Indimate's default storefront. A U.S. price wasn't confirmed.
- Guarantee: 100-day money-back guarantee after delivery, per Indimate.

How it works
The radar unit mounts at the rear of the bike, facing back. When it detects a vehicle in the zones beside and behind you, it switches on visual warning lights you can see while riding. Connect it to the app and your intercom, and you can also get an audio alert in your helmet.
Indimate says the BSR also includes the functions of its earlier Gen1 and Gen2 products, which are tied into your turn signals.
What it doesn't do: it doesn't brake, steer or slow the bike. It's a warning system. You still need to check your mirrors and do a head check before changing lanes.
Will it fit your bike?
Indimate lists three conditions:
- A 12V battery. Most modern street motorcycles have one.
- Working indicators. The system reads your turn-signal wires.
- A suitable mounting spot for the radar, with a clear view behind.
That third point is the one to look at closely. Mounting options include brackets that use an existing bolt, automotive-grade 3M VHB adhesive pads and self-tapping screws. Bikes with crowded tail sections, large luggage or unusual fenders may need some creativity. If you're unsure, contact Indimate with photos before ordering.
Installation
Indimate estimates 30 to 45 minutes. The basic steps:
- Connect power to the battery
- Tap into the turn-signal wires
- Mount the radar and the warning lights
If you're not comfortable working with your bike's wiring, have a shop do it. A bad splice on a turn-signal circuit can cause problems that are hard to trace later.
Indimate says the system shuts down automatically after inactivity and draws minimal power. It hasn't published a current-draw figure, so if your bike sits for weeks, keep an eye on battery health.
What we don't know
- Detection range and how often it gives false alerts
- A U.S. price and delivered cost with shipping
- Independent testing of how well it works in real traffic
Bottom line
Indimate's Blind Spot Radar is an aftermarket, rear-facing radar for motorcycles that warns of vehicles in your blind spots with lights and optional intercom audio. It fits bikes with a 12V battery, working indicators and room to mount the radar, installs in about 30–45 minutes per Indimate, and is listed at €349.
